Tree Turkeys

Yesterday the usual gang of roughly three dozen turkeys came by, like clockwork, to hunt for fallen sunflower seeds beneath the feeder.  You’re right, a group of turkeys is not called a gang, but is more appropriately called a rafter of turkeys.  I have to look that up each year.  Two turkeys decided that the fallen seed was just not enough, so they flew into the cherry tree to get a closer look.

I decided to help the rafter by dumping a few scoops of sunflower seeds over the railing, which was well received.  As always, the turkeys hung around for about 20 minutes before moving on.
