{"id":3379,"date":"2016-10-17T06:49:12","date_gmt":"2016-10-17T10:49:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.50.23\/wordpress\/blog\/?p=3379"},"modified":"2018-04-07T16:23:00","modified_gmt":"2018-04-07T20:23:00","slug":"update-starting-dnepr-assembly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forths.com\/index.php\/2016\/10\/17\/update-starting-dnepr-assembly\/","title":{"rendered":"Update: Starting Dnepr Assembly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Dnepr project resumed this past weekend. \u00a0The biggest accomplishment was completing the truing of all 4 wheels. \u00a0I was struggling with this task until I realized that the axle that came with the balancing stand didn&#8217;t work well with these Soviet hubs, preventing the wheel hub from centering on the axle. \u00a0I decided to use the motorcycle&#8217;s axle on the balancing stand instead, and that corrected the issue. \u00a0At that point, I was able to true each wheel in about an hour. \u00a0These wheels have no visible vertical or lateral run-out and spin very true, which was never the case with the original wheels. \u00a0That should improve the ride. \u00a0I also mounted one tire &#8211;
