My big bear starter gear casings broke off as well. The gears were removed, and now my machine is pull start only. These were great four wheelers in their day. When I was in high school, late 90s, I had a Wolverine 350 4×4, very similar to the Big Bear 350 4×4. That was probably my favorite four wheeler. I doubt I’ll ever make the effort to do what you did to this Bear. Lucky friend you have there!
