On our way to Milan we stopped at a beautiful town called Sirmione to walk through a 13th century castle, walk the shores of Lake Garda, and of course, shop. Lake Garda is a beautiful turquoise color and is also over 1100 feet deep. The castle, Castello Scaligero in Italian, was a fortress that began construction in 1277. There are no elevators there, so to get to the top one must climb stairs. The views were well worth the climb.
