Project Update: Engine back in Frame

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.  I’m spending Father’s Day sick, with a sore throat and lots of congestion.  So, I’m not getting as much accomplished this weekend as I had planned.  Still, I did manage to make a little progress on the Honda CB175 project bike.

The engine is back in the frame.  That will make it a bit easier to do the rest of the engine work.  The engine side covers have been repainted with an aluminum engine paint, with a high-temp clear coat to give a bit of shine.  The side covers will be put back on after I swap out the fiber clutch plates and clean the oil screen next weekend.

The front forks have also been put back together with new seals and fork oil.

I still have quite a bit of work to do, but I’m off work during the first 2 weeks of July, so hopefully I’ll make significant progress during that time.

  1. Sorry to hear you are feeling ill on Father’s Day…………………actually, Doug and I both agreed that you look ‘awfully tired’ at our dinner on Saturday. That happens when you burn the candle at both ends…………..your body is protesting! Just a little Mommy insight………….sorry about that!!!!!
