On August 30, we flew west to visit Nicki in Oregon. The trip started and ended in Portland, with a stop at an interesting hazelnut orchard that belongs to Nicki’s boyfriend Anthony’s family. We spent most of the time at a beautiful beach house in Gold Beach, OR. There were 3 days of hikes, including a day trip to northern California to walk through the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.
